BIOGRAPHY

A MUSICAL JOURNEY

Alexander Knyazev, born in Samara in 2007, is an aspiring russian pianist. He is studying at the Central Music School – Academy of Performing Art, under the Dean of the Piano Faculty, head of the special piano department at CMS-APA, Natalia Bogdanova. He is a laureate of numerous national and international competitions as a soloist, an ensemble player and as a composer. He was awarded the Titular Prize of the Governor of Samara Region in 2020.
Participated in the programs of V. Spivakov’s ICF in Moscow, received a scholarship from the “New Names” foundation named after Yvetta Voronova and the “Russian Standard” foundation in Saint Petersburg. Participant of the “Denis Matsuev Presents…” International Festival, “Children Help Children” concerts for LCI international charity project, concerts for the “Art-Line” Arts Support Fund, programs of “Sirius” Educational Center’s “Talent and Success” educational foundation in Sochi.
Participated in the Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Children’s Musical Academy for CIS and Baltic States by People’s Artist of Russia, Yuri Bashmet, in Samara Region in 2015, 2016 and 2017. Participated in the opening and closing concerts of the Academies. Performed in the concert halls of the Russian capital and other cities, Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, “Zaryadye” Concert Hall in Moscow, the Grand, Small and Rahmaninov’s Halls of Moscow Conservatory among them.
Performed as a soloist with Samara State Philharmonic Symphonic orchestra, Lipetsk Symphonic orchestra, Sochi, Kursk and Yaroslavl Academic Governor Symphonic Orchestra, the Symphonic orchestra of Children’s Musical Theater named after Natalia Satz and the Moscow State Academic Symphonic orchestra, conducted by Y. Tkachenko.
